Families can enjoy a wealth of activities in the area with the glorious South Devon Sandy Beaches within 30 minutes drive. Visit the unspoilt resorts of Exmouth, Sidmouth, Beer or Budleigh Salterton.

Travel a little further to North Devon with its rocky coves and long sandy surfing beaches such as Woolacombe, Westward Ho! and Bude.

For the keen walkers, the picturesque National Parks of Dartmoor and Exmoor are similarly nearby. Exmoor with its magnificent landscapes, rocky headlands and plunging waterfalls. Dartmoor with its beautiful tors allowing you to roam freely seeking out its wildlife and archaeological remains.

For history and heritage, the renowned National Trust Properties of Killerton House and Knightshayes Court are both within 10 miles as is the Cathedral City of Exeter, the regional capital of the south west, with its Guildhall and Princesshay Shopping Centres, Historical Quayside and Medieval Underground Passages.
